Liquid Salt-Bath Ferritic Nitrocarburizing with post oxidation commonly known as "QPQ" is a thermo chemical treatment which diffuses both nitrogen and carbon into the surface of steel at a temperature of 1075°F.
This surface hardening process develops a thin, uniform and hard nitride layer which imparts significant surface wear resistance as well as an enhanced fatigue resistance, corrosion resistance, surface lubricity and provides a cosmetically attractive matte black finish with little to no distortion or dimensional change on the material.
G&H Diversified utilizes Delamin Ltd's proprietary non-cyanide chemistries which are environmentally friendly and formulated specifically to meet the requirements of the industry standard specification SAE AMS-2753C.
